I received a facebook message awhile back from a sweet gal. She was inquiring on pictures for her family along with her parents. She was an only child but now has a family of her own. 2 sweet little ones. Her mom had been diagnosed with a rare, not good cancer. The doctors were not giving them what they wanted to hear so she immediately thought of pictures. [I sure did the same thing when it all happened with my mom. That just never happened for us which til this day I am bummed....we did manage to capture a family shot at my cousins wedding & I am forever grateful my dear aunt made us do it.] So we did the session at the Plains Art Museum & it was fun! Mind you…I had a really hard time going into the session, thinking….can I do this? I did it & LOVED it. The daughter who contacted me…I know from working at the lakes area years ago & her husband is just a great guy as well so I could not have been happier they asked ME to capture the memories. I was honored! Once I met grandma, who was to start chemo that Friday & I think we did the session on a Thursday?…I got goosebumps! She was looking all beautiful, her husband was just so precious to her, you could tell their grandkids were their sunshines & I think the hardest part was when the mom asked to take a picture with her daughter…she looked up at her with tears swelling in her eyes….I of course just snapped away but with tears in my eyes as I have right now posting this even. The love a mother & daughter share is one of a kind. Being an only child…I can not even imagine what this poor family is going through. I only can pray for them! Hope that the cancer goes away so they can be together, she can enjoy her grandchildren & watch them grow, the daughter can enjoy her mothers help, advice & wisdom over the years to come & that they all have a wonderful life together. Please god bless this family with a miracle.

EDITING: The turnaround time for images being edited is about 3 weeks right now for regular sessions {wedding photography takes longer}. I will email you once your images are ready. PLEASE respect my time & work I put into your images! Patience is appreciated. I do natural light custom photography which means I edit each & every picture to perfection in my eyes. I edit only at night when my kids are in bed & my schedule has been busy with sessions along with the end of school year for my older daughters. It may take me a little longer or sometimes a little less time to edit just depending on my schedule. I promise I get them out to each & every one of you as soon as I can.

Schedule: I am booking June, July & August sessions right now. I will be booking a limited number of sessions during the week along with every so many weekends this summer to enjoy time with my family. If interested in booking, please book ahead of time especially if you are a 1st year plan client. When booking a session with me…I ask for payment in full within 5 days of booking a date. If payment should not be received in that timeframe, your spot/date/time will not be guarenteed. I ask this of clients now as I had too many no shows & reschedules last summer & I have a family of my own to provide for & want to have a fun summer with. I only want clients who take my time & work serious. This also allows for more time at the session to focus on taking pictures rather than messing with payment when on location as most of my days are booked back to back & I do not have the extra time to wait for paperwork to be filled & payment to made. I stand behind my work 110%.

This little sweetheart is the baby of one of my favorite clients. She continues to come back to me year after year & I just could literally sit with her all day & chat…like we usually do. ; } Thanks for all of your support Holly! Means ALOT!

I LOVE her name…Harlow!! She sure did not really care for me messing with her on the 1st try at her pictures. So I let her be after a few shots & then came back a few weeks later to bug her even more…hehe! So worth it though!

I hope that all you amazing mom’s out there have a wonderful, relaxing, family filled weekend full of love, kisses, appreciation & fun! I have not had a weekend off for such a long time. I plan on having some family fun tonight, attend a baby shower tomorrow morning, go to my beautiful neices prom tomorrow night & sunday….bbq, relax & spend some time with my sisters & their families along with my awesome dad. It always is hard around mothers day as I had such an amazing, wonderful mom but yet being with my family will remind me of how lucky I am to have them along with my 4 kids that god gave to me for a reason. ; } I love them with all my heart!!

I went through images & tried to find all the mom pictures I have taken over the last year or so & every picture has a memory to me behind it & I really enjoy capturing them so here’s to all of you awesome moms out there. I apoligize as I know I did not get all the images I have on here but tried to get as many as I could. I have SO many pictures to sort through & I promised my kids I would NOT be on the computer today & they have been bugging me to get off but I could not resist posting so…..

This little sweethearts parents drove miles to see me & we met up at her parents friends home to do the session in Fargo. What a sweetheart she was. She was wide awake right when I arrived but we soothed her & got her nice & sleepy for the session. After that the parents could not believe how she just let me do my thing with her but that is all the magic of newborn sessions. ; }

Man….this little guy was such a sweetheart for his photo shoot. I think it was cuz he was surrounded by so much love. I went to his home & was greeted by his sweet auntie & his super awesome, kind parents! Check out how ADORABLE he is…..

Adored all the smiles he gave me. I think he liked me…hehe! He joined my 1st year plan so I SO look forward to seeing this sweet little guy grow up before my lens. Yay…me! After the session was over, his parents commented on how relaxing & nice it was right in their home. I told them that is how all my sessions are. ; } I also received such a kind email from this little guys momma after she picked up her dvd. [Wow! The pictures are great! Thanks so much for taking Coopers pictures. You are great with kids. We look forward to working with you in the future!] 

 Thanks again Laura & Rob for asking ME to capture Cooper’s 1st year & for the fun morning at your home. So glad you loved all his images. I LOVE that my clients can pick up the dvd with all the best images on it & never have to stress over which ones to purchase or worry about spending a ton of money on the images as they will have those images forever on their dvd to keep for their lifetime! Such a treasure to have in this day & age! As we all know kids grow up too too fast!
